Rayner Garden
Presented with stunning views, a new modern concrete and glass house
designed by Shanahan Architects and great clients, this garden was
designed as a series of spaces that interconnect with each other to
form a whole whilst allowing a different "feel" and use for each individual area.
The architectural forms in this garden relate strongly to the house and site.
There is a pool area with a sunken segment for greater privacy to one side,
spiral grass platform "steps" leading down to a lower lawn and a private north
courtyard with sub-tropical planting.

Walton Garden
This
garden was designed as a semi-enclosed courtyard garden around a
pool and entertaining areas. The space is defined on two sides by
the house and a high plastered wall. On the other side is the pool
with a glass fence allowing views to mature native bush along the
boundary. Features of the garden include a honed exposed concrete
aggregate bench and a mandatory patch of green lawn.

Hill Garden
With the architect's plans in hand for a new garage,
the brief from these clients was to put in a new driveway,
pedestrian access, and most importantly provide useful and
attractive access from the new garage/parking to the front door of the house.
As well as designing the front garden, the existing pool area at the back
needed a revamp with new gardens, extended entertaining areas and a new level lawn area.

Cant
Garden
With
privacy being the major issue for these clients, a courtyard
garden was designed, complete with formal planting and lawn.
A feature of the garden was the enclosing plastered block and
linea board fence to match the house.
